BounceProof Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy outlines how BounceProof (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information, specifically focusing on Google user data as required by Google API Services User Data Policy.

To ensure full transparency, our practices are designed to provide high-level email validation services while maintaining the strictest data privacy standards, similar to leading industry benchmarks.

Data Accessed
BounceProof only requests access to the specific Google user data necessary to provide and improve our email validation services. This includes:

Google Account Information:

We access your primary Google email address and basic profile information (name, profile picture) via Google Sign-In to authenticate your account and manage your subscription.

Google Drive/Sheets Access (Optional):

If you choose to use our direct integrations to validate lists stored in your Google Drive or Google Sheets, we access those specific files only after receiving your explicit, per-file or per-folder permission.

Restricted Scopes:

Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Usage
We process Google user data strictly for the following functional purposes:

Service Provision:

To import, validate, and return the results of your email lists.

Optimization:

To improve the accuracy of our validation algorithms through anonymized metadata.

Strict Prohibitions:

  • We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements.
  • We do not allow humans to read your data unless you provide explicit consent for a specific troubleshooting support ticket.
  • We do not use your data to train non-personalized AI or machine learning models that are not specific to your account's functionality.
Data Sharing
BounceProof does not sell, rent, or trade Google user data. Sharing only occurs in the following limited circumstances:

Functional Necessity:

We may share data with trusted service providers (e.g., cloud hosting or payment processors) who are contractually bound to keep the data confidential and use it only to perform tasks on our behalf.

Legal Compliance:

We may disclose data if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process.

Safety:

To protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
Data Storage & Protection
We implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard your information:

Encryption:

All data is encrypted during transit using TLS (HTTPS) and at rest using AES-256 encryption standards.

Access Control:

Access to our production environment is restricted to authorized personnel via multi-factor authentication and is logged for auditing.

Isolation:

User-uploaded lists are processed in isolated environments to prevent cross-contamination or unauthorized access.
Data Retention & Deletion
We believe you should have total control over your data. Our retention policy is as follows:

Validation Data:

By default, uploaded email lists and their validation results are automatically purged from our active servers 30 days after processing.

Account Data:

We retain your basic account information as long as your account is active.

User-Initiated Deletion:

You can delete any uploaded list manually at any time via your dashboard.

Account Deletion:

You may request full account and data deletion by contacting us at enquiry@bounceproof.co. Upon request, we will delete all your personal and Google-sourced data from our systems within 30 days, unless retention is required for legal or financial record-keeping.
